Course access will be granted three days before the course begins. You can access the course as of 4/6/25 with a start date of 4/9/25. You will be able to access the course and files for three months in total (until 7/2/25).

Course Description

I look forward to assisting you as you prepare for the NLN CNE® exam. I passed the CNE® exam in 2018 in the 99% and have helped thousands of faculty prepare for and pass the exam, across the country. I have been a nurse educator since 2013 (ADN, BSN, RN to BSN, RN to MSN, MSN, and DNP levels). My business, GP ACADEMY LLC, provides board certification review courses among other services for nurses. I invite you to join my CNE® review that runs one evening per week, seven sessions in total, from 6-7PM (Central Time), on Zoom. If you attend all sessions, and study 20 minutes per day on your own, you will be awarded 21 contact hours. I have thoroughly reviewed every book in the preparation reference list for the CNE® exam and included the content in my teaching and materials. The review covers all criteria on the test blueprint. My review course is a mentoring program to enhance all areas of teaching, service, and scholarship. The exam is challenging with a general pass rate between 60-70%. My review course has a 99% pass rate on the CNE® exam, however. The NLN recommends a board certification review course. Not only will I assist you in preparation for the exam, but be available to you in between review sessions for any questions you have and or clarification needed on content. I believe in mentoring and staying connected with those I assist. Attending all sessions and engaging in 20 minutes of studying per day, on the days we do not meet, will award 21 contact hours.

Course Schedule

The course will run (live) synchronously on the following dates below on Zoom (seven Wednesday evenings from 6PM-7PM, Central Time). Gina logs on at 5:30PM Central Time for Q&A and open discussion. Once you register for the course, you will have access to the Zoom link, which is the same for all seven sessions below. Only focus on one topic area per week. Do not work ahead. The course is paced to allow ample time to focus on all the content. For example, in week one, we will focus on use assessment and evaluation and week two the content will continue. That means for 20 minutes per day for the first two weeks, faculty should study the related content, read the associated book chapter, apply learning to practice, watch the Zoom session recordings, and utilize other study strategies as required. In week three, faculty should only focus on facilitate learning, etc.

Week One (4/9/25): Use Assessment and Evaluation Strategies

Week Two (4/16/25): Continuation of Use Assessment and Evaluation Strategies

Week Three (4/23/25): Facilitate Learning

Week Four (4/30/25): Facilitate Learner Development and Socialization

Week Five (5/7/25): Participate in Curriculum Design and Evaluation of Program Outcomes

Week Six (5/14/25): Function as Change Agent/Engage in Scholarship

Week Seven (5/21/25): Function Within the Organizational Environment and the Academic Community
